This tutorial will go over a basic path for general problem solving. This path, as represented in the image above, can be applied to a wide arrange of problem solving. Once you polish your skills within each step, you will be better equipped when you encounter a tricky problem. 

Let's start with applying the pathway to a simple 1-D kinematics problem.
"A car starts from rest and accelerates uniformly over a time of 5.21 seconds for a distance of 110 m. Determine the acceleration of the car" (Henderson, 2015).
